Underrated Stranger Things characters: Mr. Clarke

Mr. Clarke is one of the most fun characters in Stranger Things, and I’m really bummed that we don’t get to see more scenes with Dustin’s favorite teacher, played by Randy Havens. We even saw a little bit of his personality and love for horror film production in Stranger Things season 2!

In the first season, Mr. Clarke is an integral part of the story. His encouragement of his students is unmatched, and it seems that he truly cares. He also explains how, with the flea and the acrobat analogy, the parallel dimension could exist and how to access it. His speech is all the boys need to hear to know that there’s a chance Will could be saved.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: Will is alive because of Mr. Clarke.

Looking further down the line, there’s a strong argument to be made that the whole town is alive in season 3 because of Mr. Clarke. Joyce knows something is up, and she goes to Mr. Clarke to understand what’s going on. And, he’s right on the money like he always is.

I hope we get to see more of Mr. Clarke in Stranger Things season 4!
