Greenleaf season 5 is coming to Netflix tonight

Greenleaf season 5 release date on Netflix: September 10

Greenleaf season 5 aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) beginning in June and ending in August. Now, the fifth and final season of the TV series will be available on Netflix soon.

You can start watching Greenleaf season 5 at 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET) on Thursday, September 10.

The drama series is written and directed by Craig Wright, executive produced by Oprah Winfrey. It takes a look into the lives of the Greenleaf family and their megachurch in Memphis. The Greenleaf family love and care deeply for one another, but there are many dark secrets and lies that threaten to tear their faith to shreds.

Greenleaf stars Keith David, Merle Dandridge, Lynn Whitfield, and Kim Hawthorne. They are joined by Deborah Joy Winans, Oprah Winfrey, LeToya Luckett, Lamman Rucker, and Kim Hawthorne.  Last season, Rick Fox, Patti LaBelle, and Beau Bridges were promoted to series regulars. The series has received rave reviews.

From the trailer, we can see a family that has been knocked down but hasn’t given up the fight. The family is lead by Bishop James Greenleaf (David), Lady Mae Greenleaf (Whitfield), and their daughter Grace (Dandridge). Many other family members are also involved in their megachurch, adding to the drama and intrigue.

From the outsider’s perspective, the Greenleaf family is powerful and virtuous, but things aren’t always what they seem.  Hidden behind their faith is a world of lies and misdeeds that the outsider isn’t privy to.

The family is up against Bob Whitmore (Bridges), who wants nothing else than to merge Calvary, the Greenleaf’s church, with Harmony and Hope Ministries, is own church.

Greenleaf season 5 looks like it will be quite exciting and filled with lots of drama. The Greenleaf family won’t go down without a fight.
