Lucifer star DB Woodside confirms season 6 will be 10 episodes

D.B. Woodside refuted earlier claims and confirmed Lucifer season 6 will consist of 10 episodes.

What a day to be a Lucifan! In typical Lucifer fashion, fans were all sorts of confused with about how many episodes Lucifer season 6 would consist of.

It began with TVLine claiming that Lucifer season 6 would be bittersweet, consisting of only eight episodes. It’s definitely shorter than what any of us expected, so our disappointment was understandable.

Still, we considered the unexpected renewal and the COVID-19 outbreak to be factors in this decision. But not so fast! Leave it to the great Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) to quickly call out the source on having the wrong information with a simple tweet.

D.B. Woodside confirms Lucifer season 6 episode count

This tweet naturally sent Lucifans running and searching the internet for the truth! And D.B. Woodside wasn’t about to leave us hanging. The cast love their fans as much as we love them!

As we previously reported, Lucifer season 6 will indeed consist of 10 amazing episodes. We knew Tom Ellis wasn’t kidding. He shared that there was enough story for a 10-episode final season in a recent interview, so that wasn’t about to just change.

My favorite part of this story is how Woodside called out the source while also confirming the truth! No one likes to be left in suspense.

There is still no word on when we can expect Lucifer season 5, part 2 to drop on Netflix. However, we do know that production begins for it on Sept. 24. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more.

In the meantime, let’s re-watch all available Lucifer episodes on Netflix, especially D.B. Woodside’s best moments as our favorite angel (after Lucifer, of course), Amenadiel!
