Watch new rom-com Love, Guaranteed on Netflix tonight

Are you ready for another rom-com to watch? Of course you are. Love, Guaranteed is the rom-com for you, coming to Netflix tonight.

The movie is slightly different to the ones we’ve watched recently, like The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys I’ve Loved BeforeLove, Guaranteed is about adults. Think of it a little more like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and You’ve Got Mail.

Rachael Leigh Cook and Damon Wayans Jr. star as a lawyer and her client, who decide to take on the biggest dating app in the world. Of course, that leads to the two of them falling in love.

The movie will drop at 3:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 3. That means those on the west coast are only waiting until 12:01 a.m. PT.

What to expect in Love, Guaranteed

This is one of those movies where you’re coming for the actors or just because you adore rom-coms. The story itself looks pretty predictable, and I don’t say that in a bad way. Don’t you just need classic rom-coms now and then to escape the drama?

In Love, Guaranteed, Wayans Jr.’s character wants to sue a dating app. It guarantees people will find love, but he’s been on enough dates to know that isn’t right. The problem is, he’s going up against an army of lawyers with one small firm.

Of course, along the way, he starts to fall for his lawyer. And she starts to fall for him. Could the two find love together? Wouldn’t that completely lose them the case? It certainly promises a fun ride, while looking at whether dating apps can offer what they promise.

This is a big movie for Cook, as well. She produced Love, Guaranteed, and according to Variety, the plot was based on a lawsuit against Coors Light, which wasn’t brewed with “pure Rocky Mountain spring water” as it had always advertized. However, Cook has always found success in rom-coms, especially after She’s All That, and loves reality shows such as Love Is Blind, so it made sense to work within the rom-com area.
