Stormfront, played by Aya Cash, joins The Seven in The Boys season 2

There’s a new Supe joining The Seven in The Boys season 2! Aya Cash plays Stormfront, a new “hero” with electrokinetic powers. In other words, Stormfront can manipulate electricity and use it to overpower adversaries.

We know a lot about Stormfront from the comics, but we don’t know how or if the show will follow her storyline or change things up a bit in season 2 of the TV series.

From the trailer and promotional events, we know Stormfront is the newest member of The Seven. Stormfront replaces Translucent after he was blown up during the first season.

With Stormfront, The Seven adds a fiery character with a large following on social media.

Who is Stormfront in The Boy season 2?

During a virtual roundtable, Cash and The Boys star Antony Starr talked with us about Stormfront, her addition to The Seven, and an upcoming showdown with the leader of The Seven, Homelander.

“I think she comes in and she’s there to shake things up,” Cash says. “Just from like the social media perspective and her ability in that area and her following and the sort of transition from traditional media into online and her talents there.  I think that’s part of the reason she’s been brought in.

“But she’s got very specific ideas about what should happen with The Seven and aspirations, I think, to lead The Seven in a specific way. And so she’s coming for Homelander a little bit, and I think in her mind, either she gets him on her side or, or he’s out.”

“Or, she’s out,” Starr added.

It appears, from other interviews we’ve done, that Homelander will have it coming at him from all angles. Of course, Butcher likely wants revenge from what happened at the end of season 1. Stan Edgar, as Giancarlo Esposito said, is not afraid of Homelander and will challenge the leader of The Seven in the new season.

Now, with Cash’s Stormfront also posing as a threat to Homelander, things will be very interesting in season 2 to be sure.

“She is a breath of stale air as far as Homelander is concerned,” Starr says. “You know, he’s very comfortable being at the top of the food chain when it comes to The Seven and being the boss of his little family. I always look at it like I’m just the mother and the father in one, and they’re like my little kids, and then this person comes along that really challenges that and everything that Homelander is.”

I think it’s safe to say that Homelander won’t be the only member of The Seven that gets a taste of Stormfront’s wrath.

“It’s really it’s an interesting relationship that develops throughout the season and definitely keeps Homelander on his toes,” Starr continued about Homelander and Stormfront’s relationship. “And I think actually, it’s fair to say, she keeps every member of The Seven on their toes. You know, she does not stop at Homelander when it comes to f***ing with people.”

You can see Aya Cash as Stormfront when The Boys season 2 premieres on Amazon on Friday, Sept. 4. The first three episodes of the series will be added to Netflix on Sept. 4, while the rest of the new episodes will be added weekly.
