Millie Bobby Brown wants a wedding for Eleven and Mike in Stranger Things

Could a Stranger Things wedding happen in the future? If Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown gets her way, there will be!

Brown told Glamour that she’d like to see a Stranger Things wedding for Mike and Eleven at some point in the future of the series.

Brown shared the thoughts about the Mike-Eleven wedding when asked what she hopes to see in the end of Stranger Things for her character, Eleven.

Here’s what Brown said about the ending for Eleven, via Glamour:

"“I would love her story to be rounded off by like a good ending. I trust the Duffer brothers so much that it’s going to be beautiful and I’m going to love it no matter what it is. But I’d love for her to get her powers back because she is a hero, she is like a super woman in a way. And she loves Mike – I want them to get married. That’s what I need. I need a wedding scene for Stranger Things, period.”"

I think all Stranger Things fans are hoping for the same ending for Eleven, and that’s simply a happy ending for Eleven. Brown is right; the character has been through so much, way too much for such a young person. Hopefully, Brown can catch a break in the future seasons of Stranger Things, but that’s probably not going to happen anytime soon.

Obviously, a Stranger Things wedding for Miis way down the line, anyway. The characters are still kids heading into season 4. With that said, we could see another wedding in the near future for a few characters: Nancy and Jonathan? Joyce and Hop? Anything’s possible!

I think there’s a really good chance we could see a big time jump in the future. The actors are getting older, of course, but the story also lends itself to a big jump. Instead of torturing the characters once a year for like five straight years (in the story), it’d be better to resolve the initial crisis (i.e. Hopper being in Russia, the Mind Flayer, etc.), let the characters go their separate ways into early adulthood (or not), and then bring them all back together when it all hits the fan in Hawkins again. That’d be my preference for the story, anyway.

Stranger Things season 4 has been billed as the darkest and scariest season yet, according to a few cast members. That likely means Eleven will be dealing with more monsters in season 4.

The fourth season started filming at the beginning of 2020. Unfortunately, filming was shut down because of the pandemic. Production has not restarted yet, although it’s supposed to resume in September. The start date is now in question as the virus continues to spread in Georgia, where the series is filmed.

At this point, it looks like Stranger Things season 4 won’t be released until late 2021 on Netflix, at the earliest.

Stranger Things is coming back for season 5. We learned recently that the fourth season will not be the end of the Netflix show, so that’s more good news!

Stay tuned for more news about Stranger Things season 4! In the meantime, you can watch Millie Bobby Brown in the new Netflix movie, Enola Holmes, on Sept. 23!
