The hottest news for this weekend is the release of Lucifer season 5, part 1. Fans have been waiting for this release and have catapulted it to the number on the Netflix top ten list.

If you have never watched Lucifer you need to check this one out. This series revolves around Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) who is the devil. He abandons hell for LA and becomes a nightclub owner who consults for the LAPD.

This series has become so popular because the casting is spot on, and the writing and director are outstanding. Netflix surprised fans with the announcement that the series would have a sixth season, which will be the final for the series.

Hoops

Another big show for this weekend is Hoops. This series is an adult animated sitcom, and even though it was only released on Aug. 21, it is sitting at number eight on the Netflix top ten list.

Warning: This show is crass and raunchy, so be cautious of who you view it with.

Wentworth

The series Wentworth is currently in its seventh season with its eighth due to release on Netflix on Sept. 30.  You can now view seasons 1-7 on Netflix ahead of the release of the eighth season.

The eighth season will pick up where the seventh ends. Fans have bittersweet feelings as the release of the eighth season will bring them closer to the final season, set to be released in 2021.

Wentworth follows the story of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack), who is sent to prison for the attempted murder of her husband. She is separated from her daughter and must remain at Wentworth until her trial and learn how to survive in prison.
