The Crown season 4 release date confirmed for November 2020
While we’ll have to wait longer than usual for season 5, The Crown season 4 will arrive on Netflix in fall 2020 with a confirmed November release date!
After months of speculation, Netflix has officially confirmed The Crown season 4 will premiere Sunday, Nov. 15 with what promises to be yet another unforgettable season. This release date is about on par with what we’ve seen from the show in the past, as Netflix has been known to release new seasons in the final months of the year with season 3 arriving Nov. 17, 2019.
In addition to confirming the official premiere date for season 4, Netflix has also released our first look at the upcoming fourth season with a heavy focus on the introduction of Princess Diana, who will play played by Emma Corrin.

In addition to Corrin, The Crown season 4 will welcome the arrival of fellow new cast member Gillian Anderson, who will make her debut this season as former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. This will also be the final season with Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, and Ben Daniels before the show welcomes a new crop of actors to take over the show’s key roles.
While many shows have been delayed due to the ongoing pandemic, filming on season 4 was able to be completed before the UK was forced to shut down production. This allowed the team to finish up post-production, thus paving the way for the show’s fourth season to arrive without any major delays.
The Crown seasons 1-3 are currently streaming on Netflix, making it easy to catch up before The Crown season 4 premieres Nov. 15!
