Warrior Nun canceled or renewed: Netflix officially orders Warrior Nun season 2

Netflix has made a final decision on the fate of its newest original series, confirming Warrior Nun season 2 is officially in development!

News of the show’s fate comes as a major relief to fans who have been anxiously waiting to see if the series would become the latest casualty of what has been a cancel-heavy year for Netflix. Fortunately, we can now breathe a sigh of relief in knowing Warrior Nun season 2 has been confirmed and is currently in development at Netflix!

Debuting on July 2, Warrior Nun tells the story of 19-year-old Ava (played by Alba Baptista) who discovers a new lease on life after waking up in a morgue with a mysterious divine artifact embedded in her back. Ava soon discovers she’s has become the latest member to join an ancient order whose have been tasked with protecting Earth from demons and other powerful forces battling to control her.

A timeline for when production on Warrior Nun season 2 will begin as well as details on when the follow-up season will release on Netflix is not yet known. However, Netflix has confirmed that Baptista as well as Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea, Toya Turner and Olivia Delcán will all return to reprise their roles within season 2. It has also been teased that new additions will be joining the cast, though we’ll have to wait to see who might join the cast next.

Although Netflix has not yet confirmed the timeline for when Warrior Nun season 2 will arrive, it seems likely the new season won’t arrive until Fall 2021 at the earliest. Though Netflix has been known to surprise us, so we can’t rule out the possibilities that the next season could arrive earlier or later than that timeframe as well.
