Ozark is one of the great Netflix shows to watch this weekend

As we enter into a new weekend, that question always comes up, “What are we going to watch?” We have a great rundown of some excellent Netflix shows to keep you occupied this weekend.

With new items hitting Netflix daily, it is hard to remember what series has new episodes releasing and the dates they release. Below is a rundown of some great shows with newer released episodes.

Legend of Korra

The follow-up series to Avatar: The Last Airbender has hit Netflix, and fans are excited. Legend of Korra originally ran from 2012-2014, and this is the first time it has been available on the streaming service.

All four seasons of the Legend of Korra series is now available, Book One: Air, Book Two: Spirits, Book Three: Change, and Book Four: Balance.

Where Avatar’s main character, Aang, was a lovable and approachable, Korra is quite the opposite. Aang grew into his powers and identity easily, where Korra had to learn to be the Avatar with many mistakes and errors in judgment.

Critics have stated that Avatar feels more like a kid show, and Korra is more mature and perhaps aimed at an older audience.

3% season 4

Season 4 of the Brazillian dystopian thriller, 3%, is one of the Netflix shows released this week.

This series finds its citizens living on an impoverished island. When the citizen turns 20, they are able to take the option of having a better life. But, this chance does have it’s downfalls, they could possibly never see their loved ones again or even lose their life.  The citizen competes in The Process, which gives them a chance to use their brawn and brain to test their worth for the opportunity to live at Offshore where they will live in luxury.

This is the fourth and final season for the series.  Creator Pedro Aguilera is already working on another Netflix project, Omniscient, another series set in the near future.

Teenage Bounty Hunters

New this week is the series Teenage Bounty Hunters. This series follows twin sisters whose side job keeps them busy in their already busy teen lives.

Sterling (Maddie Phillips) and Blair (Angelica Bette Fellini) are 16-year-old twins who have been recruited by a bounty hunter, Bowser (Kadeem Hardison), to help find people who have skipped out on bail.

The trailer below shows lots of action as well as some typical high school scenes showing the vast differences in their work lives and social lives. Looks worth checking out!

Lucifer

Fans of the series Lucifer have had emotional ups and downs with the cancellation of the series only to find that it was renewed for a fifth and now a sixth season.

Netflix has seasons 1 through 4 available to stream now with season 5, part 1 coming out on Aug. 21. If you haven’t watched this series yet, start binging now so you can be ready for the release of season 5.

The series follows Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), who is actually the devil and abandons hell to come to earth and live in Los  Angeles. In season 5, there is actually going to be a musical episode. The episode is entitled “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam.” Now that sounds interesting.

Ozark

Sadly, Ozark will be in its fourth and final season soon, but this show is so worth the watch. It is gritty, suspenseful, and the cast is stellar.

Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are the leads in this series and play spouses Marty and Wendy Byrde. The two have found themselves in a life of crime and deceit that wreaks havoc on their marriage, their family, and their personal lives.

Julia Garner steals the show as the rough and ready Ruth Langmore. She does an outstanding job portraying this character.

If you haven’t watched this series yet, you are most definitely missing out!
