Is Insatiable season 3 happening?
Insatiable premiered on Netflix in 2018, and fans and critics alike couldn’t stop talking about it. Now, fans are left wondering if an Insatiable season 3 will ever happen.
The series stars Debby Ryan as Patty Bladell, a high schooler who is regularly the target of bullying due to her weight. After a violent altercation with a homeless man, Patty must be on a liquid diet for several months, causing her to quickly lose weight. When disgruntled lawyer and beauty pageant obsessive Bob Armstrong (Dallas Roberts) is assigned to her case, he decides to turn her into the beauty queen of his dreams.
Insatiable garnered more criticism than praise when the first season arrived on Netflix. Viewers were blown away when Debby Ryan donned a fat suit to play Patty pre-weight loss, and there were numerous instances of fat-shaming. People have also accused the series of including harmful portrayals of the LGBT community and racial stereotypes.
I’ll admit, I enjoyed the show when I first watched it. I’ve liked Debby Ryan since her days on The Suite Life on Deck, and I was entertained by Insatiable‘s dark comedy and frankly wacky storylines. Plus, who doesn’t love Alyssa Milano!?
However, once I saw how much the series offended people, I completely lost interest. There was even a Change.org petition calling for Netflix to cancel Insatiable! Currently, the petition has over 237,000 signatures.
Will there be an Insatiable season 3?
Well, it seems the petition did its job, because Netflix canceled Insatiable after two seasons. As reported by Deadline, Alyssa Milano confirmed via Twitter in February that the series would not return for a third season. You can check out Milano’s tweet below.

While the show certainly had its fans, the fact that it was offensive to so many people probably means it’s worth cancelling.
