What we can’t wait to see in Stranger Things season 4 on Netflix

Stranger Things season 4 is on the way, but there have been some major delays. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Stranger Things season 4 was only a month or so into production when everything shut down.

Since then, production has not started again, and while September has been rumored as the production restart time, that looks increasingly unlikely.

I think the excitement for the new season, which was originally supposed to be released in early 2021, is waning a little bit after the major production delays. We’re now hoping to see season 4 on Netflix by the end of 2021.

Instead of dwelling on all that negative, I wanted to share a few of the things I’m excited about and can’t wait to see in Stranger Things season 4!

Flip through the pages to see all five things we can’t wait to see in the new season of the most popular Netflix show.

1. Hopper alive in Stranger Things season 4

In case you’ve been living under a rock for months, you know that Hopper, played by David Harbour, is alive!

At the end of the third season, Hopper was thought to be dead after the machine keeping the gate to the Upside Down open was destroyed in a big explosion. Shortly after, we learned that there was an American being held in a Russian prison.

I think we all knew it was Hopper at that point, but Harbour did a good job playing along and trying to make it seem like Hopper might be dead.

Then, earlier this year, we learned Hopper was actually alive. We see that he is alive and not-so-well in the Russian prison camp.

I can’t wait to see what happens with Hopper, how he’s going to get back to Eleven and the gang, and what it means for the future.

According to Harbour, we’re also going to get to learn a lot more about Hopper’s past in season 4 and how it relates to the new season, specifically about those “New York,” “Vietnam, and “Dad” boxes we saw back in season 2.

Harbour also mentioned that we could learn more about all of Hopper’s backstory and more in Stranger Things season 5.
