The third and final season is heading to Netflix at 3:01 a.m. ET. That means you’ll get it at 12:01 a.m. PT. All six episodes will drop at once.

Yes, sadly, it is the final season. When the show was renewed in June 2019, the show told us via its official Twitter page that it would be the last. But are we only preparing for the end of the series or the end of the world?

What to expect in The Rain season 3

The Rain season 3 will pick up where the second season left us. Simone and Rasmus have split up, both believing that they have the best way to save humanity.

Rasmus finds himself working with a group of scientists who seem to want to explore his abilities. However, Simone worries what this means for the world. Rasmus is a ticking timebomb. He could kill all of humanity. We’ve seen what he can do and the trailer for the season gives us more of a hint.

You see, Rasmus wants to infect everyone with the beta version of the virus. He is sure that it’s a cure, and when he’s got a group of scientists who are willing to help him do that, who is really that surprised he runs with it?

Simone is sure there must be a real cure out there. She knows she needs to stop Rasmus but is she willing to do whatever it takes?

The promo for the season certainly looks intense.
