Best Netflix movies of 2020: 8. The Lovebirds

The Lovebirds was a surprise addition to Netflix’s lineup this spring. The movie was supposed to be released in theaters, but because of the pandemic, Netflix picked up the movie, and the streaming network is lucky they did!

The Lovebirds stars Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani as Leilani and Jibran, a couple who are on the brink of a breakup. After they witness a murder and find themselves as the main suspects, they do everything they can to clear their names and prove their innocence.

This is one of my favorite Netflix movies so far. Rae and Nanjiani have outstanding chemistry, and I’ve always been a fan of the “we need to prove our innocence” movies. There’s just so much room for conflict and comedy.

Best Netflix movies of 2020: 7. To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You is the sequel to the hit Netflix movie, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. It’s based on the book series by Jenny Han.

Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are back for P.S. I Still Love You as Lara Jean and Peter. The pair coupled up in the first movie, and now, when a person from Lara Jean’s past comes back into the picture, will they last?

Jordan Fisher stars in the sequel as John Ambrose McClaren, who has feelings for Lara Jean.

The movie has to be one of the most-watched movies of the year so far. The third movie, To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean, is also expected to be released on Netflix later this year.
