Best Netflix movies of 2020: 14. All the Bright Places

All the Bright Places is based on the book of the same name by Jennifer Niven. Justice Smith and Elle Fanning star in the Netflix original film that focuses on mental health, grief, adolescence and more.

The story follows two teens, Theodore (Smith) and Violet (Fanning), who are dealing with some pretty heavy things. After Violet’s sister was killed in a car accident, Violet and Theodore are partnered on a school project that allows them to explore the state together.

This movie might be difficult to watch for some. There are some dark moments that might be triggering for some viewers.

Kelli O’Hara, Luke Wilson, Keegan-Michael Key, Lamar Johnson, Virginia Gardner, Felix Mallard, and Sofia Hasmik also star in the film.

Best Netflix movies of 2020 – 13. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is one of my favorite recent Will Ferrell movies. The movie follows the journey of Icelandic singers, Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdóttir, played by Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, through the Eurovision Song Contest, an annual music competition in Europe.

The movie has an awesome cast, including Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Dan Stevens, Melissanthi Mahut, Mikael Persbrandt, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Graham Norton, Demi Lovato, and Pierce Brosnan.

This movie has a little bit of everything, catchy music, drama and ridiculousness, laughs, and some brilliant performances from Ferrell and McAdams. I thought this movie was going to be kind of a farce, but it’s actually good. And, I’m not joking. I legitimately enjoyed this movie.
