Sweet Magnolias premiered on Netflix in 2020 and was one of the most popular Netflix shows of the year so far. Fans loved the new series based on the book series by Sherryl Woods.

Sweet Magnolias season 2 is already in the works on Netflix, but unfortunately, the series will not be added to the streaming for quite a while.

The series is based on the book series by Robyn Carr and stars Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Colin Lawrence, Jenny Cooper, Lauren Hammersley, Annette O’Toole, and Tim Matheson.

In the series, Mel Monroe, played by Breckenridge, a doctor, moves to the small town of Virgin River in California to start over, but she finds the move harder than she expected.

Virgin River is coming back for season 2, likely, this fall. Netflix has already renewed Virgin River for season 3!

If there’s one show that Sweet Magnolias fans need to check out, it’s Gilmore Girls. While Gilmore Girls is a little bit of a faster pace, these shows are so similar.

Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons on The CW before the show was canceled. Netflix later rebooted the series for a four-episode miniseries.

Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel star in the series as mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. The series follows their lives and all the drama through Rory’s high school years and beyond in the fictional small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

The series has an incredible cast with Graham, Bledel, Jared Padalecki, Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale, Kelly Bishop, Edward Herrmann, Liza Weil, Milo Ventimiglia, Sean Gunn, Chris Eigeman, and Matt Czuchry.
