Despite her relationship status, it looks like Vanessa is just excited to become a mother.

“Exciting news… I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January [blue heart emoji]. This little guy has already brought me so much happiness and a feeling of such a greater purpose,” Vanessa wrote on Instagram, revealing the sex of the baby. Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech break up

The Chicago Tribune (via US Weekly) reported yesterday that Michael, who plays for the Chicago White Sox, filed for divorce on June 19. Looking back at Vanessa’s Instagram page, she actually hasn’t shared any photos with the pro athlete since April, posting a cute photo on the 30th of that month to celebrate his birthday. We only wish both parties the best as they part ways.

Will Vanessa Morgan’s pregnancy affect Riverdale season 5?

Neither Vanessa nor Michael have spoken out on the split publicly, but we’re sure the Toni Topaz actress is just overjoyed to be pregnant. This brings us to our next question of whether or not her having a little one on the way will affect Riverdale for season 5.

As we previously reported, because Vanessa is due in January, it’s entirely possible that she will miss a few episodes. Filming for the new season is expected to begin in either August or September, according to a report from Deadline, which claimed that several shows in Vancouver, Canada could continue shooting in the coming months.

The publication confirmed Riverdale should be filming again in August or September.

While it’s certainly bittersweet to hear the news of Vanessa’s pregnancy and just days later her split from Michael, we’re hoping for the best for these stars and wish the Riverdale actress the healthiest and happiest of pregnancies!
