The Kissing Booth 2 is just one of the Netflix movies this weekend

There’s no need to feel like there are now Netflix movies to watch during the last weekend of July.

This last weekend can sometimes be the quietest of the lot. That’s not the case in July, with one of the most highly anticipated movies of the summer, The Kissing Booth 2.

There are some other excellent new releases this weekend and one movie that’s leaving the streamer next week, so this is your last chance to watch it on Netflix.

Here are five good Netflix movies to watch this weekend.

The Kissing Booth 2

There’s one movie to start with this week: The Kissing Booth 2. It’s an excellent follow-up to the first movie, this time seeing Elle and Noah try to make a long-distance relationship work. Elle has always had one plan for college, but things change when Noah suggests she goes to Harvard. Is she willing to give up everything for one boy?

To complicate things, there’s a new kid in school who Elle finds attractive. Will their friendship turn into something more?

Banana Split

If you’re looking for another rom-com and love Riverdale‘s Dylan Sprouse, you’ll want to watch Banana Split. The movie focuses on a high school girl who struggles with a breakup. She decides to get revenge by going after her ex’s new girlfriend.

It’s not something for kids, even though they’ll remember Sprouse from The Suite Life. There’s a lot of crude sexual content and more.

Animal Crackers

While Banana Split isn’t for the kids, there are a couple of Netflix movies to watch with them this weekend. The first is Animal Crackers, the 2017 movie that involves the beloved children’s snack.

This animate movie sees a family use a magical box of Animal Crackers to help save a rundown circus. The family needs to prevent their evil uncle from taking over.

The Lava Island Movie

For fans of the show, The Lava Island Movie is a must. Chuck returns home and tells a reporter all about his life on the island. He shares all about his lava pals Red and Yellow.

It’s a cute movie. This isn’t something for the adults, but certainly something the kids will enjoy. Put it on for family movie night this weekend.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

We finish with the movie that’s leaving Netflix next week. It is heading to Disney Plus soon, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch it this weekend. It’s the sequel to Ant-Man and fits into the Avengers storyline. In fact, it’s partially needed to fully understand the Quantum Realm that was mentioned in Endgame.

Whether you’ve seen it before or not, now is your chance to watch it.
