You’ve got time right now to watch the first movie so you’re all caught up. After all, the sequel is following off the back of it.

It’s certainly going to be worth the wait. This is more than just a rom-com, but about a young woman figuring herself out. Is she willing to change her life plans just for one guy? That’s something many of us have to think about when it comes to the end of high school.

What to expect in The Kissing Booth 2

Elle and Noah have enjoyed the whole summer together. Now he’s off to Harvard and she’s starting her senior year of high school. They’re trying to make things work, but naturally, things get in their way. With new girls, the long distance, and the reminder that Elle had plans to head to Berkeley and not Harvard, she has to start questioning her relationship with Noah.

Noah will need to decide whether Elle is worth waiting for. There are going to be plenty of temptations in college.

To top it all off, there’s a new guy in school. This new guy is dreamy, but also brings up a few things for Elle to think about. He does note that if found someone who likes all the things that he does, he’d do what he could to keep hold of them. The question is whether Noah is that guy for Elle or if there’s someone else in her life instead.

Then there’s Lee, who isn’t happy that Elle is applying to Harvard. Sure, it means that the plans he and Elle have had for years have changed, but surely he should want what’s best for both of them, and it may not mean following the plans they set years earlier.

It’s going to be interesting to see which decisions Elle makes. Will she choose Noah or Berkeley?
