Bingeable Netflix shows: Once Upon a Time

For the fairytale enthusiasts out there, Once Upon a Time offers seven seasons of magic, mystery and a whole new world as popular storybook characters alternate between their fairytale lives and their lives in Storybrooke, an idyllic town that is actually part of a curse initially wrought by the Evil Queen.

Over time, it becomes clear that their lives are intertwined in their storybook roots as well as in the modern world, and when trouble strikes they’re there to help both worlds.

OUAT gained a massive fan following over its seven seasons, due in large part to the connections to classic Disney characters (Disney is the parent company to ABC Networks). Each season features a new group of characters that find their way to Storybrooke, so if you’re a huge Frozen fan it’s only a matter of time before Elsa shows up. OUAT is the kind of show that parents can watch with their middle-grade kids (it can be a little dark in some spots) and everyone will find a character to root for.

Once Upon a Time spawned a short-lived spinoff, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, set in – you guessed it – the stories of Alice and her adventures through Wonderland. The high concept spinoff never gained the kind of footing that the original show enjoyed but it’s fun to go back and watch it now that you can binge it all together.
