The Old Guard is just one of the Netflix movies to stream this weekend

We’re onto a new weekend, and that means you’re looking for more great movies to check out on Netflix. There’s an excellent selection of Netflix movies, whether you want action or family-friendly.

One of the most anticipated movies of the year is now available to stream. You can also want a post-apocalypse movie, there’s something for the children, and much more.

The Old Guard

There’s only one place to start this list. It’s all about the big hit of the summer. The Old Guard starring Charlize Theron is now streaming on Netflix.

It’s a superhero/fantasy movie that focuses on a group of immortal beings. When a new one is awakened, the group needs to find her and train her. However, at the same time, someone knows their secret and is out to expose it.

The Lorax

There’s something magical about Dr. Seuss’s books. Many of them have been turned into movies, and The Lorax is the latest one to head to Netflix (again).

When a young man heads out on a journey of discovery, he runs into the Lorax. And so begins a mind-bending story. This is perfect for the kids.

ONLY

There are high chances you watched Hamilton on Disney Plus last weekend. Well, it’s time to see Leslie Odom Jr. in a very different type of role. He plays the boyfriend of Ava, and his sole focus in the movie is to protect her.

What is he protecting her from? Only a disease that is affecting just the women. It leads to a panic-stricken country as everyone looks at how to save half of the population.

It’s not got great reviews from the critics, but it hasn’t had reviews from the audience yet. It’s going to be worth a watch if you like post-apocalypse movies.

How Do You Know

Do you need a rom-com? How about How Do You Know starring Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd? You can’t go wrong with these two!

Witherspoon is a star softball player who makes it to the national team. That leads to her falling in love with two men at the same time. Not only does she need to make a choice between the men, but she also needs to figure out where she’s going in life and learn the true meaning of love.

A Kid from Coney Island

Finally, we have a documentary movie. A Kid from Coney Island focuses on the story of Stephon Marbury as he rises to NBA fame.

It’s not just about his time playing basketball. There’s also a focus on his earlier life and the family that supported him. There’s a look at the highs and lows, the pressures and pitfalls, and the rebirth of his career.
