Save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Netflix should reconsider cancellation

We’re hoping Netflix will eventually save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Netflix just canceled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina after two seasons with the final eight episodes coming later this year. Fans are obviously upset and hope Netflix will save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and reconsider its decision.

There’s already a fan campaign and petition going around asking Netflix to save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. At the time of publishing, more than 40,000 fans signed the petition!

That’s a pretty good turn out for a show that’s only been canceled for what feels like a few minutes.

I’m really hoping Netflix rethinks its decision and gives Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the proper sendoff! The streaming network can do that by renewing the show for another season, even if it’s a short one, or giving the show a special, movie, or series finale episode. That seems like the right way to go for a show that has so much going for it.

And, it wouldn’t be the first time Netflix has done this. Sense8, I believe, was the first show that Netflix gave a special ending after canceling the show following season 2. Recently, we’ve seen Netflix announce Lucifer was ending twice before adding more episodes and then renewing the show for another season. It just happened with The Crown, as well.

So, there’s precedent here for fan campaigns to work. If there’s any fanbase I’m confident can make this happen, it’s the Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina/Archie Comics fans. There are tons of us out here!

Why Netflix should save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has its flaws, but it’s still one of Netflix’s best teen shows. I can’t say if the numbers back up the show being one of the most popular shows on Netflix, but it seems like it based on social media buzz and conversation around each new batch of episodes.

News just broke that Part 5 was going to feature a Riverdale crossover, as well, according to TV Line. The thing we’ve all been talking about since Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premiered was going to happen! That’s one reason to bring the show back!

Overall, though, I think the show was just getting to the good part. There’s a giant battle coming in Part 4, and that was likely going to extend into Part 5.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the showrunner, just tweeted that Part 5 was known as “Witch War.” That sounds like it was going to be awesome!

One of the other reasons why Netflix should keep this series going is because of its cast. There are only so many shows on TV right now that have as strong of a cast as Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. There are so many good actors in this show, and they’re all going to go on to even bigger things once this show does come to an end.

How fans can help save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Well, there’s no real rule book for saving a show, but there are definitely a few things fans can do to help.

Watch the Show 

First of all, fans need to watch the show, and binge-watch it if you can. The more you watch this show, the best

Spread the Word 

We need a bunch of new viewers (those who have never seen an episode) to start watching and binge-watching the series right now. To help them do that, you should recommend the show to all your family and friends. And, you can start spreading the word on social media if you haven’t already.

Sign the Petition 

We also recommend signing the petition to save this series. If enough fans sign, perhaps Netflix will reconsider.

Submit Netflix requests 

On the Netflix customer service site, there’s a page that allows you to send in requests for movies and shows. You should add a request for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 5 to let the streaming network know that you want to save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
