Netflix has been a saving grace in 2020 with so many viewers sheltering in place during quarantine, so the promise of new content to consume is tantalizing. Children of the 1980s will be excited to learn that all three films in The Karate Kid trilogy land on Netflix in July. Whether you’re watching for the hundredth time or experiencing these classics for the first time, they’re a great way to spend an evening.

The first movie was released in 1984 and turned Ralph Macchio into a Teen Beat heartthrob. Macchio’s Daniel travels to Southern California with his mother to start a new life, but trouble fitting in at school leads him to befriend Mr. Miyagi, a repairman who is also a martial arts master. With Mr. Miyagi’s help, Daniel begins a journey that will change his life forever.
