Stranger Things season 4 production is likely to resume in September

It looks like Stranger Things season 4 will be restarting production later this year.

At the time of publishing, Stranger Things season 4 is scheduled to resume filming in September, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The tentative start date for production to resume filming is on Sept. 17, but we will have to see exactly how things play out leading up to that restart date. There’s still a lot of time between now and that date.

Georgia, the state where Stranger Things is filmed, is going to be the lead dog in getting Hollywood kicked off again, if all goes well. Many shows and movies are expected to begin or resume production as early as August in the state.

Filming on the highly anticipated season 4 of the Netflix original series was shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many cast members have been asked about when production may resume, but as expected, they informed the fans that they didn’t know.

Some good news about the production on season 4 is that the cast and crew were ahead of schedule when the shutdown happened, according to Finn Wolfhard.

As time continues to pass, fans are getting more and more anxious about season 4 and when exactly it will be released. Stranger Things star David Harbour mentioned a few months ago that season 4 was scheduled to be released in early 2021, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, that will change.

Despite the stoppage with production, the Stranger Things team is doing a great job keeping the series as relevant as possible. In fact, the writers recently released a photo of the completed scripts for all of season 4 on their twitter page. Talk about a happy moment! And, it looks like there might be nine episodes in the new season!

It’s going to be interesting to see how things are completed once production resumes as far as facemasks, social distancing, and more. Stranger Things is a show filled with love, fighting, and overall interaction, and I can’t wait to see how the Duffer brothers handle the situation.

One thing is for sure, we know the Duffers won’t put out a product unless they fully believe in it being great.
