You know you’ve been secretly wishing for some new Lifetime movie-level guilty pleasures to hit Netflix. Thankfully, the streaming giant obliges with one of the month’s brand new movie releases. Nia Long stars in Fatal Affair (how about that title?!) as Ellie, who attempts to repair her marriage to Marcus (Stephen Bishop), following a brief but clearly impactful “encounter” with old friend David (Omar Epps). Of course, David’s much more unhinged that she could ever realize.

Fatal Affair comes from director Peter Sullivan, who also directed last year’s Netflix guilty pleasure original movie Secret Obsession. Clearly, the guy knows how to create escapism at its finest. Long and Epps starred together in 1999’s crime thriller In Too Deep, forging a reunion 20 years in the making. Fatal Affair won’t be winning any awards, but you can bank on the movie taking you on a wild journey and taking your mind off of the world for an hour and a half. Make sure to pencil in a thrilling viewing party for Fatal Affair when it makes its Netflix premiere on July 16.
