July 2020 is shaping up to be a great month for fans of streaming services. That’s certainly the case with Netflix, but the full list of Netflix movies and shows can be overwhelming.
We’re cutting out that feeling. It’s time to break down the top picks from the month, finding something for all interests and ages.
It wasn’t easy to pick from the list this month. The July 1 drop has some amazing choices and you’ll want to slowly work through them. We also can’t overlook The Notebook, which is back on the streamer again.
In the end, it comes down to these five Netflix movies to watch in July 2020.
Charlotte’s Web
We’ll start with something for the whole family. If your kids haven’t seen Charlotte’s Web yet, make it your No. 1 choice for them this month. It’s a beautiful tale of the friendship between a pig and a spider.
Based on the book of the same name, the story sees Charlotte find a way to keep Wilbur safe. After all, he knows that he’s going to just end up on the dinner plate, and he wants more than anything to prevent that. Charlotte does, too.

Desperados
If you’re in the mood for a rom-com, you’ll want to watch the Netflix original movie Desperados. Starring Nasim Pedrad as a woman who is unlucky in love, she becomes panicked after sending a mean, drunk email to a man who she thought was ghosting her. It turns out he was in the hospital after an accident in Mexico.
Deciding she needs to delete the email, she and her best friends head to Mexico to find his hotel room. While there, her ex-boyfriend is pulled in on the plot to find the guy’s phone and get rid of that email that threatens everything.

Fatal Affair
Next up is a movie for those who adored Secret Obsession. Nia Long stars as Ellie, a woman who wants to mend her marriage after a brief affair with an old friend David. However, it turns out that the encounter could be far more traumatic than she initially thought.
David, played by Omar Epps, is an unstable man. He will do anything to get the object of his desires.

The Old Guard
Are you ready for Charlize Theron back in action? That’s what you’ll get with The Old Guard. This is one of the most highly anticipated Netflix movies of the month.
The story is about centuries-old mercenaries that are immortal. When someone finds out their secret, they need to do everything it takes to protect their healing abilities. This is perfect for superhero movie fans.

The Kissing Booth 2
Finally, it’s all about the teen rom-com sequel you’ve been waiting for. The Kissing Booth 2 is heading to Netflix this month, and it promises to be just as amazing as the first movie.
Elle is heading back to high school for her senior year, while Noah is off to Harvard. Can their relationship manage the distance or is it their last summer of fun?
