The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will feel like an extended Marvel movie

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series is coming to Disney Plus in the near future, and Anthony Mackie says it is being filmed like a six-hour movie.

The highly anticipated The Falcon & The Winer Soldier series is coming to Disney Plus later this year, COVID-19 shutdown permitting. Initially, the plan was to have it release by August 2020, but filming shutdowns have possibly postponed the release date.

Variety is reporting that the Czech Republic is opening the country back up for essential workers, and this includes filmmakers. The Falcon & The Winter Soldier does film in Prague, so there’s a chance it would be included in this opening back up of the country. Hopefully, they can get back to work soon.

Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, in the Marvel series, has stated in an interview with Variety that instead of filming like it is a six-episode series, the series is being filmed like a six-hour movie.

Mackie will be joined in the series by Sebastian Stan, who will reprise his role as Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier. The synopsis sets up the series after the events of Avengers: Endgame.  The pair will use their unique abilities for a global adventure.

Marvel Studios released a teaser video below for the series, along with Wandavision, and Loki, that will also be coming to Disney Plus. It’s the only footage we’ve seen from the series so far!

Although the clip for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is quite short, people have broken it down to discover many interesting details. We already know from the synopsis that this is, in fact, a post-SNAP world. But, other exciting things that are noticeable, the Spanish moss on the trees indicates that Sam and Bucky are somewhere in the south.

Zemo is out of his containment cell, and even though Bucky has a gun pointed at him in one angle, another angle shows Bucky dropping the bullets on the ground. Does this mean a team-up will happen? And, who is the man dressed like a new and improved Captain America in the football game clip? It looks like this could be none other than John Walker, aka US Agent.

Another thing that is noticeable from this clip is that it really does look like a Marvel movie as opposed to a Marvel TV series. This is exciting because fans have grown to love the cinematography, look, and feel of the Marvel movies, and it would pale comparison to film the series with lesser quality.
