The Hills Have Eyes for You, a horror rom-com, is happening at Netflix
Netflix announced its newest venture in the horror genre will have a bit of a twist. The Hills Have Eyes for You is a horror romantic comedy, and it sounds awesome!
As a huge fan of horror, I approve of this new Netflix movie, 100 percent.
The news of the new Netflix movie was reported by Deadline.
According to the report, Eli Craig, famed director of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, will be directing the film. Tucker and Dale has developed into a cult classic horror comedy over the years. Many of those fans have even watched the movie on Netflix. Previously, Craig directed Little Evil for Netflix, a story about a man who thinks his stepson might be a demon. It stars Adam Scott and Evangeline Lilly, and it’s available on the streaming service now.
The plot of The Hills Have Eyes For You hasn’t been revealed yet, but with Craig involved, this is sure to be a gem. Here’s what Craig told Deadline about the movie:
"“This is a unique underdog love story with genre-bending scares and a lot of laughs, I think I’ll be in my element for this one.”"
According to Deadline, The script is written by David Stieve, who also wrote Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, which is a mockumentary slasher film that gives homage to original slasher films.
Although we don’t know much about this film, with the people involved, it is sure to be a favorite for fans of these types of films. These movies aren’t for everyone, but those who do enjoy this genre are usually very loyal and will give the movie an audience.
If you like Tucker and Dale and need something you watch on Netflix while you wait for The Hills Have Eyes For You, you should watch The Babysitter, Murder Party, Life After Beth, and the classic Killer Clowns from Outerspace on Netflix.
All of these films fall into the dark comedy horror genre that will either prime you for the release of The Hills Have Eyes for You or turn you away if this isn’t your thing.
Stay tuned for more information on this film! Netflix Life will share the cast and release information when we find out.
