HBO Max is adding more than 200 new movies and shows in July 2020

As movie theaters across the nation remain closed, HBO Max is looking to help to fill the void this summer in adding more than 150 classic movies to its library. While perhaps not quite the same as being able to enjoy the latest summer blockbuster with a trip to the movies, HBO Max is stepping up to the plate with the addition of some incredible classics releasing in July.

Of course, no summer movie season would be complete without a few epic superhero blockbusters. While we wait for the likes of Black Widow and Wonder Woman to hit theaters, HBO Max is giving fans the chance to relive some of their favorite superhero adventures in adding a handful of superhero titles.

Beginning July 1, HBO Max will be adding more than two dozen superhero films including the Blade trilogy, Fantastic Four (2005), Watchmen, and all four classic Christopher Reeve Superman films. Fans can also look forward to a number of animated superhero films including a handful of LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes, Justice League, and Batman titles as well as a pair of Green Lantern animated films.

Those itching for a good horror movie can turn to one of the several classic horror flicks arriving in July such as The Conjuring, Creepshow, The Exorcist , and the Jeepers Creepers films. Meanwhile, those looking for something more comedic are sure to enjoy the arrivals of films such as Dumb & Dumber, the National Lampoon’s Christmas series, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason. Oh and don’t overlook the Anna Faris and Chris Evans led comedy What’s Your Number?, which also arrives on July 1.

On the family front, HBO Max will be dropping a number of classic family flicks perfect for your next family movie night. Among the many new family films coming to HBO Max in July are Flushed Away, the Free Willy franchise, Get Smart, Megamind, Nancy Drew, Osmosis Jones, Space Jam and the 2005 remake of Yours, Mine, and Ours.

For those looking for more current films, HBO Max will be adding two recent releases including the Oscar-nominated bio-drama Harriet as well as fellow period drama Midway.
