Lucifer season 5 is officially coming to Netflix on August 21

Lucifer season 5 part 1 has been officially confirmed to arrive at Netflix on Aug. 21

Rejoice, Lucifans! The rumors were true, Lucifer season 5 is officially premiering on Aug. 21 only on Netflix. We have just under two months to prepare and re-watch our favorite episodes of the series.

After Netflix Life reported that Lucifer would not be arriving in July, we all geared up and began to speculate a possible release date. As Deadline broke the news, Warner Bros. will be hosting a DC FanDome Virtual Experience on Aug. 22 to bring fans news and updates on DC shows, films, and comics. And, as you know, Lucifer is part of the DC world.

Fans of the series wondered if a premiere date for Lucifer season 5 would be included in the news, but the month of August seemed like a long wait to hear an announcement. Thankfully, Netflix has confirmed via the official Lucifer Twitter handle that the leaked date is true.

It’s important to note that, as the source shares, Aug. 21 is the release date for the first part of season 5. Don’t forget, season 5 has been broken up into two parts. This has us all wondering if the cast and crew will be sharing the premiere date for part 2 during the DC FandDome Virtual Experience.

Another thing they could be sharing is news that Lucifer season 6 will be happening, after all. To find out, we’ll need to tune in on Aug. 22 to learn what we have in store. Or, you know, wait for another leak!
