Hannibal is one of the new releases on Netflix on June 5

It’s been something we’ve waited for a long time to see. Hannibal is finally making its way to Netflix. You’ll be able to stream all three seasons tonight.

This weekend is excellent for those looking for something to binge-watch. The final episodes of Fuller House dropped earlier this week and 13 Reasons Why and Queer Eye are among Friday’s release. But we know that your main focus is on Hannibal.

You can stream all three seasons of Hannibal from 3:01 a.m. ET on Friday, June 5. That means you’re tuning in from midnight PT on the west coast.

Hannibal is one of the best TV crime dramas ever

For those who missed it when it was first on air, Hannibal is a prequel series to the Silence of the Lambs movie. It’s based on the novels “Red Dragon,” “Hannibal,” and “Hannibal Rising” by Thomas Harris and developed by Bryan Fuller for TV. Yes, the Bryan Fuller. You can see why it’s such amazing TV.

Hugh Dancy plays Will Graham, an FBI investigator who teams up with Dr. Hannibal Lecter (played by Mads Mikkelsen) for cases. At this point in the story, Lecter is a forensic psychiatrist, and a many that Graham is able to connect and empathize with. Little does Graham know but Lecter is a cannibal.

Sadly, the series was canceled after three seasons back in 2015. This was well before Netflix and other streaming services would save a lot of shows, although that didn’t stop Fuller from entering talks with both Netflix and Amazon. None of the talks led to a revival, but fans have routinely tried to get Netflix to pick up the series again. In fact, the show arriving on Netflix this weekend offers another push to bring the show back.

It really is one of the best TV shows of all time. Now you get to binge-watch and find out why.
