Netflix is adding 16 new movies and shows to its lineup this week

If you’re stuck at home, either on Memorial Day or later in the week, Netflix is adding plenty of new content to keep you occupied. Whether you’re looking for a crime drama to watch, a new season of a popular CW show, or a brand new Netflix Original series, the streaming service has a ton of new stuff to binge-watch.

On Monday, May 25, Uncut Gems comes to Netflix. The film starring Adam Sandler follows a down-on-his-luck New York City jeweler who ends up in even bigger trouble than when he started. He makes the bet of a lifetime that could lead to great things, but if it doesn’t go his way, it could result in the total destruction of everything he knows and loves.

If you’re more in the mood for a laugh, you might want to check out season 1 of Space Force when it comes to Netflix on Friday, May 29. The show stars Steve Carrell, Noah Emmerich, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Fred Willard (RIP), and Jessica St. Clair and follows a new space-related branch of the military called The Space Force. With this cast, it hard to imagine it will disappoint. It looks hilarious!

Or maybe you’re looking for some superhero content? If so, you’re in luck because season 5 of Supergirl comes to the streaming service on Monday, May 25. The season starts off with Lena Luthor finally finding out Kara’s secret identity and then fighting her in a virtual simulation. Lena also builds an A.I. as she no longer trusts anyone around her. Kara as Supergirl also goes on to close a black hole and send Midnight, a Phantom Zone prisoner, back to jail.

You can also look out for Hannah Gadsby’s newest comedy special, Hannah Gadsby: Douglas on Tuesday, May 26 and Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, a documentary featuring stories from the survivors on Wednesday, May 27.
