First look at Disney Plus’s Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe

Disney Plus has been on a roll, with 50 million subscribers under its belt already. Disney Plus is celebrating National Streaming Day today, and we have some exciting reveals and teasers headed our way.

The streaming service revealed a mini roadmap for these reveals earlier today, and the latest reveal of the day is a first look at the upcoming film, Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe.

Phineas and Ferb is one of the most talked-about projects on Disney Plus, especially because the series, which ended in 2015, is finally getting a follow-up film.

Titled Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, not much has been revealed since the initial announcement, but Disney Plus has now blessed us with exactly two images as a first look at the film. Take a look:

The reveal promises a Summer 2020 release date. The last episode of the series had aired on June 12, 2015, and I could see Disney use the five-year anniversary of the series ending to drop this movie on Disney+. The date is about three weeks from now, so if all goes right, Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe could release on June 12, 2020.

Not many details about the plot are known yet, and these images don’t reveal much more than the title itself does. It looks like we’re on for an inter-galactic adventure this time around, with Candace working with Phineas and Ferb, and of course, the rest of the gang!

Now, as we know, the original premise of Phineas and Ferb is about 104 days of summer and their crazy adventures in the summer vacation. This movie could spawn off a fresh episodic run of the series, especially given the fan love for the series. Either way, we have more summer vacation adventures coming our way!
