Space Force season 1: Watch the full trailer for the new Netflix Original comedy

Netflix has released the full-length trailer for Space Force season 1.

Netflix is bringing a new comedy to its ranks ⁠— one loaded with some great sitcom talent. Space Force season 1, created by Greg Daniels, who ran The Office (US), is hitting the streaming service soon. Ahead of its arrival on May 29, Netflix has released a full-length trailer for the series recently, and it has now followed it up with a full trailer of Space Force.

In addition to Carell in the lead role, Space Force also stars John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Lisa Kudrow, Fred Willard, Jane Lynch, Patrick Warburton, among other top sitcom actors.

The full trailer shows Carell channeling the awkward, incompetent, and thus hilarious boss that he previously did in The Office. The Space Force season 1 trailer is also full of parodic patriotism and blends well with the criticism of the actual US Armed Forces department of the same name, which is the inspiration for the series.

In the series, Carell plays General Mark R. Naird, a military official who gets charged with spearheading the Space Force. Additionally, we got to see more of John Malkovich in this trailer, who seems to be playing the brains behind the operation. This trailer also showed more of the media head of Space Force, F. Tony Scarapiducci played by Ben Schwartz and some more glances of Lisa Kudrow as Mrs. Naird.

Netflix has very obviously made the spiritual successor to The Office, and it is set to become one of the best series the streaming platform has put out. The show is also premiering at an interesting time, given the fact that the real Space Force is gearing up to get to work, and there’s more buzz about outer space programs than ever before.

Space Force season 1 premieres on Netflix on May 29.
