No one knows the Lucifer season 5 release date on Netflix

Lucifer season 5 is expected to be released on Netflix sometime in 2020

Lucifer is one of the most popular and best shows on Netflix, and accordingly, fans, including our team at Netflix Life, want to know when the Lucifer season 5 release date on Netflix will be, like, really bad.

Netflix has not announced the Lucifer season 5 release date, although we expected to see the new season sometime this spring, like May or June. And, some fans aren’t too happy about having to wait so long to see the new season, even though there are usually 12-month-plus gaps between new seasons of Netflix shows.

Unfortunately, that passion has resulted in a few, or maybe more than a few, poor interactions with the cast, crew and creative team of the series recently. Lesley-Ann Brandt shared a few thoughts on Twitter recently.

We all hope to see the new season soon, but constantly asking the cast, creative team and Netflix when the release date is will not bring season 5 to the streaming service any sooner. As soon as that information is available and allowed to be shared, the cast, creative team, and Netflix will be the first to let us know.

Production on Lucifer season 5 is currently delayed because of the coronavirus, and from what I can gather, the season is not finished with the post-production process, including translating the show into more than 100 languages, according to Brandt.

So, that’s the deal. No one knows when Lucifer season 5 is coming to Netflix. Everyone involved, I’m sure, is doing their absolute best to bring Lucifer season 5 to fans as soon as possible. We just need to be patient.

In cases like these, I think it’s best to take a step back and evaluate what’s actually happening. We’re living through a pandemic right now, and while Lucifer season 5 would definitely bring joy to millions during this rough time, it’s imperative to remember what’s actually important right now. This is an unprecedented situation.

Lucifer season 5 will be released on Netflix as soon as it’s ready to go. I’m sure Netflix is just as eager to release the new season, too. They didn’t save this series from cancellation — and possibly bring it back for a sixth season — for full seasons to sit on the shelf.

Lucifer season 5 is going to be split into eight-episode parts, and Ildy Modrovich just revealed that each episode will be at least 50-60 minutes! That should be exciting for all fans!

Episode runtimes for the first three seasons were roughly 40 minutes while the show was on FOX. That means we’ll be getting at least 25-50 percent more Lucifer in season 5! That’s great news!

We should learn more about the Lucifer season 5 in the near future. Stay tuned for more information!
