Supernatural season 15 will return with final seven episodes in fall 2020
Supernatural season 15 will air its final episodes on The CW in the fall
There are still seven episodes to air from Supernatural season 15. Two of those still need to film. The CW has set the season to finish up the long-running series.
According to TVLine, Supernatural season 15 will be part of the fall 2020 schedule on The CW. It’s the only traditional fall show airing on the network this year. All the rest are being held for January 2021 at the earliest due to filming being on hold right now. There is a chance those shows will be pushed back later into 2021 depending on when filming can resume.
However, the Winchester brothers will be back to take on their final foes. The show will pick up with episode 14 of its final season and will hopefully run through to its last episode. I say hopefully because the final two episodes haven’t filmed yet.
Supernatural season 15 had been on hold
Fans will remember that the show went on hiatus after episode 13, which aired back in March 2020. While the next five episodes had filmed, they hadn’t been through post-production work yet. Instead of holding a couple of weeks and running the five episodes to then go on another break, The CW opted to hold the episodes and wait for the final two to film.
It also looks like it was a plan to bring a regular show to the fall 2020 lineup. Even if the final two episodes don’t film any time soon, it looks like The CW will keep the Winchesters in the fall lineup for five weeks.
Even better news is that the show will move back to Thursdays at 8/7c. Supernatural is finishing up its run in the timeslot it’s held for the last two seasons.
When it comes to January 2021, Walker, Texas Ranger is set to take up the Thursday night timeslot. This makes sense since Jared Padalecki is going to lead the show. The SPN Family is likely to watch to support one of their favorite actors.
Supernatural season 15 will return in fall 2020 but no date has been set yet.
