Netflix adding more than 20 new movies and shows this week

Tired of watching the same old stuff? Netflix is coming out with over 20 new movies and shows, including Riverdale and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

A new week is here and that means Netflix is adding a bunch of new stuff. And this week, it’s not just “new if you never watched it when it first came out,” there’s also a bunch of completely brand new content.

Whether you’re looking for an interactive special, the next season of a popular CW show, or an animated Netflix Original, Netflix has something for you to binge-watch this week.

If you’re a Kimmy Schmidt fan, you need to check out the show’s new interactive special, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy Vs. the Reverend on Tuesday, May 12. This create-your-own-adventure special follows Kimmy as she’s preparing to get married. But before she can live in marital bliss with Daniel Radcliffe, she has to stop the Reverend first and needs your help along the way.

She-Ra is also back on Netflix! She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 5 hits Netflix on Friday, May 15. In this final season, The Rebellion must figure out how to fight Horde Prime without the Sword of Protection and without She-Ra. The Princesses of Power will have to find a way to save their planet or it will be doomed to be taken over by evil forever.

Or maybe you’re in the mood for some ridiculous teen drama? If so, you’re in luck because season 4 of Riverdale is coming to Netflix on Thursday, May 14. This season does start on a somber note as the first episode deals with the passing of Luke Perry. With the first Independence Day coming up since Jason Blossom’s murder, Archie must deal with the shock of his life when he hears about the death of his father. Fourth of July is really not a good day in Riverdale.

The next episode goes right into the first day of school and features a party at Cheryl’s house and a flash-forward showing everyone looking for Jughead during spring break.

This week you can also check out the first three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender when it comes to the streaming service on Friday, May 15.
