Tiger King: Nicolas Cage to star as Joe Exotic in new series

Nicolas Cage will star in a new series about Joe Exotic, who was featured in the Netflix original documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness.

Another Tiger King series is in the works! According to a report from Variety, Nic Cage will star as Joe Exotic in a new scripted series from Dan Lagana, the showrunner from the Netflix hit mockumentary series American Vandal, and Paul Young.

I don’t know how they convinced Cage, a movie star who has never done TV, to star in this series. Although Rob Lowe, Dax Shepard, and others would have been great, nobody would bring what Cage brings to this role. It’s going to be bonkers!

According to the report, the series is produced by CBS Television Studios and Imagine Television Studios. It will consist of eight episodes.

This is the second scripted series in the works that focuses on Joe Exotic. According to the report, Kate McKinnon has already signed on to play Carole Baskins, the woman Joe Exotic tried to have killed, in another series.

This series, according to Variety, will focus on Joe Exotic, his life, and how he became the “Tiger King,” featured in the Netflix documentary series.

Unfortunately, we don’t know if this series will end up on Netflix yet. While Netflix would be the perfect home for the series, it’s not a sure thing that the series will end up at Netflix. Most likely, networks will bid on the series in the near future.

This project is in the very early stages, and there’s no guarantee that it gets off the ground, but with the major players involved and the popularity of Joe Exotic and Tiger King on Netflix, it seems like this series has some serious potential.

Am I excited to see another Joe Exotic? Honestly, not really, but I’m kind of torn. I’m a fan of the creative team producing the series, and I don’t know if I want to see more about Joe Exotic. I think I got to see enough of him in the documentary series, but there’s clearly a market for a show like this.

American Vandal is one of my favorite shows ever, so I’m excited to see what Lagana and co. can come up with next.
