The Last Kingdom season 4 wrapped many storylines up but left us with some questions for the future. Here are the 10 burning questions for season 5.

There is absolutely no doubt that we need The Last Kingdom season 5 to happen. While the fourth season was mostly wrapped up, there are a lot of questions for the future.

I will admit that the fourth season finale does leave things quite neatly tied up. It’s clear that the writers aren’t sure whether there will be a fifth season (thanks, Netflix, for constantly making us doubt the future of your most popular shows!) but that doesn’t stop us from hoping.

The Last Kingdom has plenty of content available for a fifth season. Up to this point, we’ve covered the first eight books or so from Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon Chronicles series. There are 12 published books and a 13th on the way, so there’s no need to claim there aren’t the storylines available.

That means there’s hope questions will be answered. And there are certainly plenty of questions! Many of these could be answered in The Last Kingdom season 5 premiere. Others might take a little more time to explore. Some questions may never be answered.
