On April 30, the cast of Parks and Rec will reunite for a 30 minute special on NBC and will be raising money for Feeding America.

Parks and Rec fans will be able to “Treat yourself” April 30 as the original cast members will be coming together in a 30-minute scripted special while helping to raise money for Feeding America COVID-19 Response Fund, a fund which raises money for America’s food banks to provide food for our most vulnerable citizens.

Pawnee, Indiana’s finest, will reunite while maintaining social distancing for this special.  Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta will all join together again for our viewing pleasure while supporting a great cause.

Leslie Knope (Pohler) shared the special news on Twitter as seen in the message below:

The event is sponsored by State Farm and Subaru, who will both donate $150,000 to the fund. NBCUniversal, as well as the cast and producers of Parks and Rec, will also be matching up to $500,000 in donations made by May 21.

Who better in this time of uncertainty, than Leslie Knope to rally us all together to raise money for those in need? Fans of the series will be delighted to see the whole gang back together even though it will be a short 30-minute special.

Parks and Rec ran for seven delightful seasons and has garnered quite the cult following. Many of the cast have gone on to do other successful shows.

Rashida Jones is currently starring in Netflix’s #blackaf, Chris Pratt will be starring in a third Guardians of the Galaxy film and another installment of the Jurassic World franchise.

Nick Offerman has a new projected entitled Butterfly in the Typewriter as well as a recurring role in Devs on Hulu that had its season finale on April 16.  Retta is currently starring in Good Girls, which is in its third season on NBC with the first two seasons available on Netflix.

Be sure to tune in on April 30 to enjoy this fantastic event and perhaps even donate to this charitable cause.
