Millie Bobby Brown is coming to Netflix in a different form than Eleven from Stranger Things as the star of Enola Holmes, a new movie that also stars Henry Cavill of The Witcher.
Netflix is in the Millie Bobby Brown business.
The Stranger Things star will also star in the movie Enola Holmes, which was picked up by Netflix in a deal with Legendary Entertainment.
This marks the start of a potential movie franchise for the Stranger Things star in the Jack Thorne adaption of The Enola Holmes Mysteries
Enola Holmes is directed by Fleabag and Killing Eve director Harry Bradbeer.
In addition to Brown, Enola Holmes stars Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Louis Partridge, Burn Gorman, Susan Wokoma, Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter.
Netflix fans who double as Stranger Things and The Witcher fans will love to see Brown and Cavill on the screen together.
Enola is the teen sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’s rebellious teen sister Enola who has the same family gift of being a super-sleuth and loves to outsmart her older siblings. When her mother suddenly disappears on her 16th birthday and her siblings are more interested in sending her to finishing school than finding their mother she takes it upon herself to go to London to find her.
Set in the 1880s, Enola meets a cast of characters and gets in all sorts of adventures in the pursuit of finding her mother and the reasons behind her disappearance that leads her to a conspiracy that could change everything.
No word on a potential release date for Enola Holmes but that is expected to be coming in the near future. And for Brown, production is still halted on Stranger Things 4 due to the coronavirus pandemic and there is no word on a potential resume date. So fans may have to wait into 2021 for more episodes of Stranger Things.
When Stranger Things concludes its run, which has been speculated could end after the fifth season, it’s expected Brown will be one of the most in-demand movie stars and this could be a launching point to getting a blockbuster movie franchise.
