Hulu released its official trailer for Solar Opposites, an animated sitcom from Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty.

The trailer for the Hulu original series Solar Opposites is a wild and wacky ride!

All of the episodes for this new series will be available for streaming on Hulu starting May 8. The animated series is the brainchild of Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, who teamed up with Mike McMahan for this project. The trailer definitely has some of the same look and feel of Rick and Morty.

According to Hulu, the new series follows a group of aliens who crashed landed onto planet earth, which they describe as “human-infested craphole without a single redeeming value.” Evidently, their homeworld was destroyed, and they landed on Earth with the job of protecting the pupa, which is actually a supercomputer they must keep alive so it can evolve into its true form, whatever that may be.

The trailer is fast-paced, with so much going on. Solar Opposites shows us a group of aliens who are learning to acclimate to life here on Earth, which will allow for hilarious commentary on humans and their way of life. We see them encounter drugs, bullying, zombies, magicians, black holes, and whatever the heck gooblers are.

You can view the official teaser here.

Roiland will voice two characters, and he’ll be joined by Sean Giambrone, Thomas Middleditch, and Mary Mack as the voices behind the additional lead characters. There will be a slew of special guest stars, including Christina Hendricks, Rainn Wilson, Alfred Molina, Andy Daly, and many more!

The trailer shows us a wild storyline that looks similar to Rick and Morty with the over the top antics. We see one of the aliens killing many birds with a car, what appears to the be aliens spaceship crash-landed on their house, the pupa vomiting up much smaller creatures that scatter about, and many other crazy occurrences.

Look for the entire series on May 8 on Hulu.
