Ugly Delicious, the Netflix original documentary series starring Dave Change that focuses on food, travel and culture, returns for season 2 on March 6.

I have only recently become familiar with the Netflix original series Ugly Delicious. It is an intriguing series that delves deeply into how food is made and the passion of the chefs who prepare the foods. The first season of the series came out in 2018, so it has been a while since it aired, but the wait is almost over! On Friday, March 6, Ugly Delicious season 2 is coming to Netflix.

Hosted by world-renowned chef David Chang, he opens up a new world for foodies and those who love to learn of food origins and culture surrounding it. In season 1, each episode focused on one food, pizza, barbecue, fried chicken, tacos, etc. and looked deeper into what makes each food special, along with its history, origin, and more.

The episodes take you to places near and far, and some included special guests that joined Chang on his adventures, including author Peter Meehan, actor/comedian Aziz Ansari, artist David Choe, and Danish chef Rene Redzepi, to name a few.

Season 2 will consist of four new episodes, and these will be a little more personal for Chang. He and his wife were expecting a child soon, while they filmed, and some of the episodes, while still focused on food, take a look at Chang’s anxieties about becoming a father.

He will again have co-hosts, Ansari will join him again this season when they travel to India. He will also be joined by Top Chef host Padma Laksmi, actor Danny McBride, and chef Bill Simmons.

Chang is the founder of the Momofuku restaurant group. The Momofuku Noodle bar opened in New York City in 2004. Now they now have worldwide recognition for their restaurants in Washington DC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Sydney, Australia, and Toronto.

He also has a New York Times bestselling cookbook, titled Momofuku, in which he shares some of his famous recipes from his restaurants.

Be sure to check out Ugly Delicious season 2 on March 6 only on Netflix.
