There’s something about spring that brings out the best in Netflix, and that’s never been more true than this month’s lineup of new season premieres. On top of a few binge-worthy new series, a trio of fan-favorite series return with fresh episodes sure to tug on our heartstrings and force us to hit “next episode” until the wee hours of the morning. Before you treat yourself to the new season of Elite, the third season of On My Block arrives with a can’t-miss dose of reality. There’s a reason it’s one of Netflix’s top originals and among the month’s best new additions.

On My Block takes place in an inner-city Los Angeles neighborhood and follows four lifelong best friends as they embark on the unknown journey of high school. The book-smart and also street-savvy teens find their friendships tested as they enter new terrain and encounter the triumphs and tragedies they never expected. In season 2, the group leaned on each other more than ever as tragedy and other discoveries brought them closer together. This season, the learning curve will continue as the story picks up in the wake of big decisions and fractured friendships.

On My Block has steadily risen from one of the most underrated Netflix original series to one of the platform’s most-watched shows. It’s no wonder the series, which holds 95% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, has a struck a chord with all kinds of audiences. The series has been praised for its portrayals of the issues young people of color face. On My Block won the Teen Choice Award for Breakout TV Show in 2018 and landed two more nominations in 2019 for two of its stars. Mark your calendars for the next 10 episodes of the relatable and influential coming-of-age dramedy when it arrives on March 11.
