If you were worried about what was happening with The CW shows and Netflix with HBO Max arriving before we know it, let go of your worries. For now, The CW series that have already streamed on Netflix after airing will continue to stream on Netflix one week after their finales. This March, the first round of The CW’s shows arrive on the streaming giant after completing their televised runs, and it’s not a moment too soon to catch up on All American and Black Lightning.

Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, Black Lightning stars Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce, a high school principal who just so happens to be the retired superhero Black Lightning. He left the superhero business after seeing the negative effect it had on his family, but when crime comes to his community of Freeland, he returns to the game as a vigilante. In the third season, Jefferson continues his battle against the government’s corrupt A.S.A. agency and new threats from the country of Markovia. The season also includes a tie-in to “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

Black Lightning first premiered on The CW in January 2018 and quickly became a successful piece of the Arrowverse. The series received positive reception from critics, earning a 95% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has even landed nominations from the Saturn Awards, Black Reel Awards, NAACP Awards and GLAAD Awards. Black Lightning will return next television season, specifically in the fall, for its announced fourth season, which we can anticipate will again contain 16 episodes. Don’t miss your chance to catch up on the latest season on St. Patrick’s Day.
