13. Marc Maron: End Times Fun

Release Year: 2020

Directed By: Lynn Shelton

Starring: Marc Maron

Release Date: Tuesday, March 10

What would a month of new releases on Netflix be without a small handful of stand-up comedy specials? This March, the streaming giant offers three new comedy specials: Taylor Tomlinson: Quarter-Life Crisis, Bert Kreischer: Hey Big Boy to and Marc Maron: End Times Fun. Obviously, comedy fans should check out all three hilarious specials, but we’re going to highlight the latest Netflix special from Marc Maron, who also stars in GLOW and this month’s original film premiere Spenser Confidential. End Times Fun is one of the month’s funniest new releases.

Marc Maron returns for his newest stand-up comedy special, and he’s got a lot to talk about. Using his signature style of a raw and thought-provoking comedy, End Times Fun finds the comedian riffing on the modern attempts to “stay woke,” which is low-hanging comedy fruit but will no doubt work in the hands of Maron. The special also finds him discussing the importance of turmeric, what life was like before we were all plugged into and spoiled by cell phones, and vaccinating children against “Mumps, measles, and Marvel movie fans.”

Marc Maron: End Times Fun follows 2017’s Netflix comedy special Marc Maron: Too Real, which found the GLOW star musing on everything from meditation to the Rolling Stones. While Maron appears in two major titles for Netflix this month, he’ll be back later this year (hopefully we don’t have to wait until 2021) in the fourth and final season of GLOW, which will be one of the biggest titles of the year. Prepare for the end of GLOW with End Times Fun, Marc Maron’s ode to the end of the world, when the comedy special begins streaming on March 10.
