The Valentine’s Day season might be over, but that doesn’t mean Netflix is canceling love. March brings more romantic comedies than even February, and it’s the perfect chaser to last month’s festivities. Let us enjoy rom-coms in peace without the added pressure of a holiday, right? One of the most underrated romantic comedies makes its return to Netflix this month, and we’re of course talking about Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Don’t let not rewatching this gem haunt you.

Matthew McConaughey stars in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past as Connor Mead, a high-profile celebrity photographer and a take on A Christmas Carol’s Ebenezer Scrooge. Connor has chosen to live his life in the fast lane provided to him by his fame and has taken full advantage of it in lieu of setting down any roots whatsoever. On the eve of his brother Paul’s (Breckin Meyer) wedding to Sandra (Lacey Chabert), Connor receives a visit from the ghosts of girlfriends past to lay out just how he has failed in relationships. But the reunion that might set him down the right path is with his childhood sweetheart Jenny Perotti (Jennifer Garner).

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past comes from director Mark Waters, who also directed such movies as Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just Like Heaven and Vampire Academy. Like most romantic comedies, the film struggled to impress critics, as reflected by its far too brutal 27% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Apparently critics don’t like to be charmed by Jennifer Garner and absolutely enchanted by Emma Stone. Still, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past was a financial success, and it’s coming to haunt your watch list with laughs.
