Mississippi: Ursula

Oh Mississippi! You have the Southern charm and the sass that makes Ursula the perfect representative for your state. Ursula can certainly be charming when she wants to be, i.e. when she’s trying to convince a mermaid to give up her voice for a set of legs. But she’s also devious to the point of pretending to be the woman who saved Eric’s life and ruining Ariel’s chance with him.

Now, no one is saying Mississippians are going to shapeshift to get what they want, but everyone has two sides to them and Mississippi is no different. Y’all do have a mini Confederate flag in your state flag so…

I know you all didn’t sign up for that, but wow, it might be time to change that.

But other than that, Mississippi also borders the Gulf of Mexico which makes it perfect for a sea witch. When she wants to be in the water, it’s right there and when she wants to magic herself some legs, she can go on land, eat some barbecue, and mess with people’s heads. She would have a blast.

Just watch out for anybody named Flotsam and Jetsam. Ursula is certainly not above changing her minions into humans to lure people to their deaths. Ursula is like the queen of chaotic evil.

Ursula really should have been included in season 3 of American Horror Story. I know that was set in Louisiana, but it needed a sea witch. It’s not like the show hasn’t ever gotten that weird. Image Ursula-style sea witch and Stevie Nicks in one season?

While on land, Ursula would disguise herself as an owner of a clothing store or as a makeup artist because if all the merchandise Disney has put out involving villains has taught us anything, it’s that Ursula has great style and her makeup shades are epic.
