Louisiana: Tiana

If there’s a Disney character that fits Louisiana like no other, it’s definitely Tiana. She lives in New Orleans during the Jazz Age so Louisiana is her home. She is the perfect representation of the people and the food there. She works so hard to get what she wants, and there’s no better person to represent Louisiana. It’s people who’ve worked so hard to come back from difficult times.

Tiana is also smart, very independent, and highly talented, especially when it comes to making food. Louisiana is known for a few things: its people, its food, and of course, Mardi Gras. Tiana represents at least two of those things. Her personality is a testament to the strength of the people of the state and her amazing food certainly represents the crazy good food you can get there.

It’d be easy to see Tiana opening a restaurant there today and it being the most popular spot in New Orleans. She’d make beignets, po’boys, and creole and cajun food as well as traditional southern food (no frog legs for obvious reasons). I’m kind of making myself drool just thinking about it.

Prince Naveen would eat there every night and have to persuade her to come home after a long day of work. Once she had her dream restaurant, I can see Tiana being a workaholic with trying to make everything perfect.

Tiana represents everything that makes Louisiana so great and due to her talents and personality, she stands out just like the state itself. If you’ve ever visited, you know it’s not like any other state in the country. In more ways than one, Tiana isn’t like any other Disney character.
