25. The Perfection (movie)

Premiere date: May 24, 2019

What The Perfection is about: The Netflix original movie stars Allison Williams, Logan Browning, Steven Weber, and Alaina Huffman. The Perfection follows Charlotte (Williams) and Elizabeth (Browning), two brilliant and young musicians who are masters at playing the cello. Charlotte had a promising career when she was a young girl, but her mother falls terribly ill and needs to be taken care of. Charlotte drops out of the school that was going to send her to stardom.

Leaving it all behind wasn’t easy, but the right choice at the time. But can Charlotte return when the new pupil at Charlotte’s old school, Elizabeth, is now the star? Will the two bond or compete for the attention? The answer, you’ll never imagine!

Why you need to watch this: If trippy movies are your thing, you have got to check out The Perfection on Netflix! Listen to me when I say you need to watch this movie sober. The movie has enough twists and shocking moments to keep you up hours after watching, trying to figure out what just unfolded in front of you.

From the trailer, you can get Get Out meets Black Swan vibes, but the movie spins audiences into something more unique, albeit bonkers. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t watch it and expect it to not be great, it’ll entertain you for sure!

While some scenes are as brilliantly orchestrated as the music, they may be too shocking to watch without cringing. Some scenes, however, are completely unnecessary, but it all stitches (no pun intended) together in the end.
